With the latest Nov. 2016 release, the plugin now recognizes “private” videos such as Vimeo VOD. However, if you are using a Woocommerce Product page, like this one, plugin will only detect the video if it is in the main description area. Also, if you are using Vimeography go give your Vimeo VODs some style or display them as playlists, the plugin will not detect them. Scroll down to the main description area for more.
Description
Below are embeds of a public Vimeo video and a private Vimeo VOD. NOTE: I also added the JitVids plugin to make the iframe embeds responsive with my Avada theme. Since I like to display my Vimeo VODs in the Short Description area, I used the plugins Custom Field option to add links from the full Vimeo VOD videos and VOD associated Extra videos.
I named the field, wpseo_video_url. You can enter multiple video URLs separated by commas. I then forced indexed the site and the SEO video plugin created a Video sitemap. See https://thesailingchannel.tv/sitemap_index.xml
